The Story Behind AIM
In the Fall of 2022, Jonathan Davis and Kiera Colson started working at the Boys and Girls Club. There their hearts were pierced for the kids and teens they were working with. Tears of heartbreak and new passion, slowly caused every second of conversation to become centered around the kids at the Boys and Girls Club. There was an obvious need for mentors to step up and be a positive influence. The passion slowly lit a fire within this group and before they knew it, the idea of AIM was beginning to develop.
The founding officers Jonathan, Kiera, Megan, Haley, Grace, Annie, Harrison, and Nathan wanted to create a place where Lee University students could be the light within the darkness in the lives of the BGC kids.
The question "how could Lee University not invest in the kids and teens who truly need us most?" echoed in their minds.

And their answer was the creation of AIM. The solution to the problem these Lee University students had stumbled upon. The current executive board proudly serving is Kiera, Jonathan, Grace, Lia, Nathan, Ava, Victoria, Roman, Dominik, and Keegan.
The Vision of AIM
AIM is built from the foundation of a retired Lee University Club called Big Pal Little Pal. It is truly an honor to be able to lay new workings upon the impact that Big Pal Little Pal did many years ago. AIM strives to honor the legacy that Big Pal Little Pal laid and will forever be an important piece of AIM.
The vision behind AIM is centered around empowering the next generation through intentional mentorship that actively brings forth the opportunity for passion, purpose, and positive community impact.

AIM is built upon the workings of Agents (AIM Members) and their passion to positively impact the Recruits (BGC kids and teens).
The Agents of AIM are broken down into:

AIM Core Values
Connection
We believe all of us need one person to invest in us to truly unlock all of whom we are meant to be. We strive to be the connection to the teens and kids that need us most.

Creativity
We are constantly exploring how to lead, dream, and to impact the world around us. AIM dances to its own beat that sounds like fun and celebrates each experience, interaction, and encounter. We believe it is in this kind of environment we live our best lives.

Communication
We work to communicate as effectively as possible to reach the next generation by learning and studying the best way to connect and understand each other. Communication is the key to productively serving our community to our highest potential.

Consistency
We keep showing up week to week. We know consistency is the key to a deeper connection and reaching open communication with the teens and kids we work with.
Captivation
We serve in a posture of always adding value to our community through data-driven decisions that keep us relevant and “woah” experiences that deliver more than promised.

Courage
We own our tasks and take pride in our work. We act like an owner not a renter of our mission for impact. We make a name for our club as one that excels.

Community
We are family. We are a working group of unique passions and dreams all striving to lead the next generation not as one but together. We act on behalf of each other by offering grace and generosity because the goal is more important than the role.
